When applying for your Service family accommodation, please let us know if we need to make any special considerations when allocating your house to you, or if we’ll need to make any adaptations to meet additional medical needs.
Additional medical needs adaptations
Some families may require certain adaptations to be made to their SFA to accommodate an injured or disabled member of the family. If you have such a requirement, this should be highlighted in the e-1132.
To be approved, requests for medical needs adaptations will need to be supported by an occupational therapist’s report, containing specific recommendations.
Special schools and exceptional medical needs
If you require a home in a specific location close to a special educational needs school, or for exceptional medical reasons, please highlight this in the e-1132. You will also need to provide supporting documents for this request, as outlined in JSP 464.
